Tom Boddorff is an award-winning photographer whose interest in photography began in the early '60s when he and his father set up a darkroom in the bathroom of their home in Houston. Tom utilized his photographic experience in a 25-year career as a forensic engineer. His photography was an invaluable tool in clarifying and simplifying complex failures and accidents for use as demonstrative evidence in courtroom litigation as well as insurance claims negotiations. Tom's images have been utilized by almost every major insurance company and numerous law firms nationwide. Other photographic projects have included the early development of a water-ski jump distance measurement system in which distances were calculated from video images. This system is currently the standard for water-ski jump distance measurements used in sanctioned national and international water-ski events.
More recently, Tom has developed a fine art and stock photography portfolio and assignment photography career. His analytical perspective complements his eye for the artistic compositions he creates through his lens. Tom’s photography has been used in magazines and other print media as well as electronic media and is also available in retail outlets listed in the purchase section of this site.
